
Michael Berryhill
Michael Berryhill (El Paso, Texas, 1972) lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. He received his BFA from the University of Texas at Austin (1994), attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and earned his MFA from Columbia University (2009).
He has held solo exhibitions at Derek Eller (New York), Kate Werble Gallery (New York), Night Gallery (Los Angeles), La Maison de Rendez-Vous (Brussels), Galería Marta Cervera (Madrid), Kansas (New York), Jeff Bailey Gallery (Hudson, NY), and Horton Gallery (New York), among others. His work has also been shown at institutions and galleries including Sperone Westwater, Van Doren Waxter, and Fredericks & Freiser in New York; Andréhn-Schiptjenko, Stockholm; and Galerie Nächst St. Stephan, Vienna.
His work has been reviewed in Art in America, Artnet News, The Brooklyn Rail, and The New York Times, and he has received fellowships and residencies from the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation, and Skowhegan, among others.
